In 1989, Kevin decided to share his soccer wisdom and coaching ability
with young players entertaining the
same dreams of soccer that Kevin
himself had as a young boy. It was
that year that Kevin also began "SMUDGER'S SOCCER CAMPS" on a limited enrollment basis to ensure individual attention to each player. This tradition of specialized individual
attention has become a trademark of Kevin's Camps.

At the Smudger’s Camp your player will be taught skills that directly relate to the real world game of soccer. Skills such as controlling, passing, heading, dribbling and defending are taught. The ability to move to open spaces and working together towards a common goal are emphasized in this team sport. A balance between individual play and team play are stressed at the camp. The player is encouraged to experiment and deploy their newly learned techniques in small sided games after each session. This reinforces the creativity and learning that takes place on a technique by technique basis.

Kevin believes it is important that players not only leave his camp with a strong knowledge of soccer and how to incorporate their newly learned techniques into their games, but they should also have an enjoyable memory of their week at Smudger's Camp.

The additional staff include a number
of other professional coaches, which
are personally hand-picked by Kevin.
This insures that your child will not
only receive the maximum attention possible, but the top level of coaching
that they deserve.
